Gracious Autumn

When the leaves have fallen and the world darkens; when the gardens I worked so hard on all summer stand stark and devoid of colour, I find a gracious beauty in the landscape.

The leaves that cross my path seem symbolic of the months of the year passing by, all the things we have done and seen and experienced in the last eleven months.

And I sit for a while to reflect. To think. To smile in remembrance of things past. And to be content in the knowldege that the even as the year draws to a close, a new one will surely follow.
