That's a great list, and I've read many of them.

I think my three favourite books by Canadian authors are:

Away (that's on your list)
Fugitive Pieces, by Anne Michaels
No Great Mischief, by Alastair McLeod.

And everything by Mordecai Richler.

I'm embarrassed to say how few of these I've read! The Best Laid Plans is next on my book club list, and I'm looking forward to it. LOVED The Book of Negroes. Hated Fall on Your Knees. I feel like I need to copy this list and work my way through it! The Virgin Cure is also waiting on my Kobo, as is Anne, which I can read again and again and again!

Eileen, I love McLeod and Richler too. Every time I look at my list, there's another book I thinkof to add:)

Leanne - shame! Just kidding - no time like the present (and I know why you hated Fall On Your Knees - I have a love hater relationship with it myself.)

I will probably come back and add more, but three for me are:

The Stone Diaries by Carol Shields. I also loved Unless and Larry's Party, but I will limit myself to just one by CS.

A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry

Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood

I loved Fugitive Pieces, A Fine Balance, The Colony of Unrequited Dreams, Deafening, Barney's Version, The White Bone, Life of Pi, Come Thou Tortoise, and pretty much anything by Carol Shields (my favourite is a toss-up between The Stone Diaries and Larry's Party).

I love Canadian Lit
