History isn't nice. That'...I agree with you. History isn't nice. That's just a fact of life. Trying to censor it is only lying to ourselves. Not everyone was perfect and tolerant in the past (not everyone is today) but it's something to learn from, not to hide and be ashamed of. <br /><br />I'm half German. One of my great-grandfathers was an S.S. Officer (Nazi). What Hilter did was bad, unequivocally. Am I going to pretend that it didn't happen? No. That would be nonsensical. <br /><br />So too with editing things out of history that might offend people.L. K.
